Gustav Stickley clip-corner lamp table in excellent original finish, original tacks, signed.

Gustav Stickley clip-corner lamp table with original tacks. Excellent original finish, signed with the red decal 1905-1912. When we received this table, the original leather had been previously removed & the original tacks (minus 4) remained. Period leather covered table tops were usually built with secondary wood such as Chestnut or Ash. We have never seen this form with a leather top & were unable to find an example in online archives, it's an uncommon form even without leather. This table was most likely a request from a customer & the leather was merely added to a table already finished with a quarter-sawn oak top. The table is in unusually fine original finish, the leather preserved the condition of the top. Model #611 in chalk under the lower shelf, small remnant of the original leather under the edge of the top as shown. We replaced the 4 missing tacks and applied old vintage leather from a a scrap from a period leather settle cushion. A few very minor bumps, otherwise excellent tight condition. The original bevels on the feet are still intact as shown. Measures 24" square by 29" tall. Price: $4400.00
